reminder of tragedy and humility
in the hands of terror
now in the arms of an angel
unexpected death of a classmate
of my friend's sister
my friend's friend
my friend

weep
wonder what if
wipe off ambiguity with wtf
submit your plan
implement your proposal
start walking your path
lessons learned
on angels' wings

I hear her rustling through this morning
the wind through leaves
outside my house
wisdom floating through the window screen
grace gently singing
forcing my mind's attention
I hear her
I hear you
you teach me
you touch my soul
and I learn to love again

your examples are ingrained among us
the past group of immaturity
rising to your standards
beckoning your approval
among the angels
meaning is magnified

thank you for living with us
we remember you
your graceful dance
your infectious smile
your photos in the yearbook
your family online
your memorials unending
as we breathe
each new day
you are within
you are around
you are why we fill our lungs
for you
because of you
our hearts beat stronger
our love widens
our life walks on
because you lived and loved
us
